Community Guidelines

EKLI is a community built on the belief that believers are stronger together. These guidelines exist to protect that, to make sure this stays a place where people can pray, connect, serve, and find one another without fear. We ask that every member of this community read and honor these standards.

1. Treat Every Person with Respect

Every person on EKLI, regardless of denomination, background, or belief, deserves to be treated with dignity. This means no personal attacks, no mocking, no shaming. Disagreements are fine. Cruelty is not. If you wouldn't say it to someone's face in a church lobby, don't say it here.

2. Engage in Good Faith

When you comment, reply, or interact with someone's prayer or post, do so honestly and with good intentions. Don't misrepresent what someone said. Don't argue just to argue. If you disagree with a theological position, you can share your perspective, but do it respectfully and without attacking the person.

3. Respect Across Denominations

EKLI is intentionally cross-denominational. Catholic, Protestant, Orthodox, nondenominational: all are welcome here. You may hold strong convictions about worship style, theology, or practice. That's healthy. But this platform is not the place to declare other traditions wrong or to pressure others into conformity. We celebrate the diversity of the Body.

4. Prayer Integrity

Prayer requests are sacred. When someone shares a need, they're trusting this community. Honor that trust. Don't screenshot and share prayer requests outside of EKLI without permission. Don't use someone's vulnerability to gossip. If you pray for someone, do it sincerely, and if you mark "Prayed," mean it.

5. No Harassment or Bullying

Harassment includes repeated unwanted contact, threatening language, intimidation, or any behavior designed to make someone feel unsafe or unwelcome. This applies to comments, direct messages, and any other interaction on the platform. We take this seriously and will act quickly on reports.

6. Be Honest in Your Listings

Whether you're posting an event, registering a church, or listing a volunteer opportunity, the information should be accurate. Don't fabricate events to inflate engagement. Don't misrepresent your organization. Don't bait people with misleading descriptions. Trust is the foundation of this community, and it starts with honesty.

7. No Spam or Unsolicited Promotion

EKLI is not a marketplace for self-promotion. Don't use prayer threads or comments to push products, services, or unrelated links. Churches and organizations are welcome to share their events and programs through their own listings, but spamming other people's posts is not allowed. If it feels like an ad disguised as a comment, it probably is.

8. Protecting Minors

The safety of children and young people is a top priority. No content that sexualizes, exploits, or endangers minors will be tolerated under any circumstances. Events involving minors should clearly state any age-related details. If you suspect a minor is in danger, please contact local authorities and report it to us immediately.

9. Report, Don't Retaliate

If someone violates these guidelines, use the report button. Don't take matters into your own hands. Retaliating with negative comments, flagging wars, or harassment only makes things worse. Our moderation team reviews every report and will take appropriate action.

10. Consequences

Violations of these guidelines may result in content removal, a warning, temporary suspension, or permanent removal from the platform, depending on the severity and whether it's a repeat offense. We'll always try to communicate clearly when action is taken and why.
