Location Information

With your consent, we collect location data to show prayer requests and events near you. You can control location sharing through your device settings. We offer multiple privacy levels for location display (exact, city-level, region, or anonymous).

When you access the Service, we automatically collect:

Device information (type, operating system, browser)
IP address and general location
Usage data (pages visited, time spent, actions taken)
Cookies and similar tracking technologies

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

Public Content: Prayer requests, profiles, and posts you make public are visible to other users

Business Transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets

Third-Party Services

Our Service uses the following third-party services:

Firebase (Google): Authentication and database
Stripe & PayPal: Payment processing
Mapbox: Map and location services
Vercel: Hosting and analytics
Resend: Email delivery (notifications you opt into)
Ticketmaster & Eventbrite: Public event data displayed on the map (no personal data is shared with them)

Each of these services has their own privacy policies governing their use of your data.

Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. Prayer requests expire after 7 days by default but may be extended. You can request deletion of your data at any time through your account settings or by contacting us.

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights:

Access: Request a copy of your personal data
Correction: Request correction of inaccurate data
Deletion: Request deletion of your data
Portability: Request your data in a portable format
Opt-out: Opt out of marketing communications
Withdraw Consent: Withdraw consent for data processing

Access, portability, and deletion are self-serve: download a full copy of your data from Settings → Account → Download Your Data, and permanently delete your account and data from Settings → Account. Email preferences (including one-click unsubscribe links in every email) are in Settings → Notifications. For anything else, contact us at privacy@ekli.org.
